Doctor Who is Number One (Again)!

The consolidated ratings for 'The Doctor Falls' on BBC1 were 5.3 million, making Doctor Who the most popular programme on TV for the day.

The series finale showed an increase in both numbers watching and audience share. The overnight results show the programme achieved 3.75 million viewers, representing 25.3% of the audience. The Eaters of Light Consolidated UK Ratings

The consolidated UK ratings for 'The Eaters of Light' show that the programme added a very healthy 1.84 million viewers to the initially disappointing 2.89 million in overnight results. The final number is therefore 4.74 million, which was 11th for the week across all channels.

The Empress of Mars UK Consolidated Ratings

The Empress of Mars added 1.44 million viewers to finish with an official rating of 5.02 million viewers, a share of 25.9% of the total TV audience.

The episode was the 23rd most watched programme of the week, and the 11th highest rated programme on the BBC. Doctor Who was the highest rated programme across all TV channels on Saturday.

Overnight Ratings for 'The Eaters of Light'

Doctor Who sadly achieved it lowest ever UK overnight ratings on Saturday, with just 2.89 million people watching. However, the result is not as straight forward as it initially appears. This figure also represents 22% of the audience - that is an increase on 'The Empress of Mars' last week. the most likely reason for the fall is the hot weather which most of the UK is basking at the moment.

The Empress of Mars BBC Overnight Ratings

The BBC1 overnight ratings for 'The Empress of Mars' were 3.58m, or 20.6% of the audience. An increase on last week's episode that was up against the 'Britain's Got Talent' finals.
