"Goodbye, Victoria..."

“Goodbye, Victoria…”

It’s a cliché, but it’s true: the Doctor Who world really is a family, and when someone from that close community passes, we all feel it. Yesterday, we lost Deborah Watling, the lady who gave life to Victoria Waterfield, and who also graced countless conventions over the years. She met so many of her fans that Celestial Toyroom feels it is only fair and fitting to allow some of them the opportunity to pay their respects to her in the pages of an upcoming issue.

We are looking for entries from subscribers that recount personal meetings with Deborah and which act as a respectful remembrance to her legacy. Articles should be around 500 words maximum (to allow for a number of voices to be heard) and should be sent to the usual submission address (ct@dwasonline.co.uk). A selection from the pieces received will then be published in Celestial Toyroom later in 2017.

Please title your emails, “Goodbye, Victoria…” and the closing date for submissions is 26th August 2017.
