Membership Renewal Letters

Owing to an administrative error, a small number of DWAS members who subscriptions run to 31st Dec 2017 were sent letters saying their membership had expired on 31st Dec 2016. Apologies if this affected you.

It has been announced that the next series, returning 15th April 2017 will be Peter Capaldi's last as the Doctor.

This month's Doctor Who Magazine features a number of old DWAS publications. One of those mentioned is 'The Companion Volume" published by the Society in 1977. For a limited time, a PDF copy of this is available to download from our website, free-of-charge.

Final UK Ratings

Doctor Who on Christmas Day in the UK added over 2 million viewers in official figures to end up with 7.83 million viewers. More details available at DW News:

Overnight Ratings

The Christmas special on BBC1 in the U.K. acheived an overnight result of 5.8 million, or 27.1% of the audience. This is a respectable result compared to other programmes, achieving the number 7 position for the day. The highest rated programme was 'Strictly Come Dancing' with 7.2 million viewers, or 32.1% of the audience.
