Dominic May 1958-2019

It is with enormous sadness that we have learnt of the passing of Dominic May.

Dom joined the Society in the late 1970's and went on in the mid 80's to edit CT in his unique manner before establishing the Merchandise Department.

Parade of the Daleks!

Courtesy of our good friends at Sons of Skaro, we are delighted to announce something unique for The Capitol.

On the morning of Saturday 27th April, doors will open at 9.30am. However before that, we are delighted to announce that "The Parade of the Daleks" will take place around the Arora Hotel, commencing at 9.15am.

Housekeeping Notice for "The Capitol"!

At the moment it looks like The Capitol IV will run from 10.00am to approximately 6.00pm on both days. Doors will open at 9.30am, and ahead that we are planning a bit of fun from 9.15am - further details to follow in due course!

There will also be our annual Saturday night entertainment which this year is titked “Arora Borealis @ The Capitol”.

Charity Auction raises highest total yet!

It is with great pleasure we announce that, with tax relief, £3,887.00 was raised for charities at The Capitol³

This will be donated as follows:
Denville Hall £1,668.00
Syrian Refugees £1,506.00
Cystic Fibrosis Trust £713.00

The Capitol IV

As announced at The Capitol³, we will be returning to The Arora Hotel in April 2019. Tickets will be on sale in the coming days once things are set up.

In the 24 hours following the announcement, nearly 25% of all available tickets for next year were sold. We would therefore recommend early booking. The prices will discounted from the full rate until 31st July.

Guest Announcement

Sadly Annette Crosbie is no longer able to be with us at The Capitol.

However, we are delighted to announce film and television legend Shane Rimmer as a new guest. He will sign one personal item free of charge, subsequent autographs will be charged at £15 each. Please use the token originally issued for Annette to obtain your autograph from Shane.

The Capitol³: travel update

Engineering work is taking place on Southern Railway between Three Bridges and Horsham on both 28th and 29th April, closing all lines.

Hotel full!

The Arora have advised us that the hotel is fully booked over the weekend of The Capitol. Rooms are still available at both The Premier Inn and Holiday Inn Express, which are both about a mile away.
