A Good Man.....

Well I re-watched it – not expecting the greatest thing ever this time round. And actually I enjoyed it and it made a lot more sense for me than it did on first viewing.

Having said that of course you shouldn’t need to re-watch anything to understand what is going on and that is probably a fair criticism of this season thus far as much as I love it.

I think it was a big mistake to bill it as a great reveal when it really wasn’t – and many of us are probably looking at it as an ‘end’ whereas in reality it asks far more questions than it answers – what is Demons Run for, what are they planning to do with the child, does River’s intervention change things or is it part of the natural course, why are the clerics fighting against the Doctor, is the child in the spacesuit/New York actually River, what was the purpose of the fake battle (why not just take the child and go) – lots more to come and I again just hope it can live up to all this by the end..?

I don’t think it was bad by any means but this series just keeps you hanging on and whilst that is fun for us who would watch a 'paint on the TARDIS door drying episode' I am not sure how the more casual viewer will feel about it...

But it has been a great series so far and role on the autumn and the Nazis (though not literally)
