Peter Hailliday - Updated

Peter Halliday, who appeared in a number of Doctor Who stories over the years died last Sunday aged 87.

Peter appeared in a number of stories: His first Doctor Who was as Tobias Vaughn's sadistic henchman 'Packer' in 'The Invasion' with Patrick Troughton in 1968. He then returned to Doctor Who in 1970 for 'The Silurians' and then 'The Ambassadors of Death', as a voice artist. In 1973 he appeared alongside Jon Pertwee in visual form as Plectrac in 'Carnival of Monsters', and then in 1979 he appeared with Tom Baker and Julian Glover in 'City of Death' where he played a guard working for the Borgias. Finally in 1988 he appeared alongside Sylvester McCoy when he was the Vicar in 'Remembrance of the Daleks'.

He was a guest at a DWAS convention at Queen Mary University where he was a well receive guest, who was a little overwhelmed at the reception he received!
