Flesh and Stone. Your thoughts.

Flesh and Stone seems to have gone down very well!

Mark Carroll: At last! A story that met my expectations. Creepy, funny, tense all the things a really good Steven Moffatt story should be. Here's hoping the standard remains as high for the rest of the series.

Kate Griffiths: Have just watched Flesh and Stone and wasn't it good. There were lots of great moments in it and some humour - I could kiss you, yes when you're older. Lots of scary moments. I think the Weeping Angels are the scariest 'monster' yet. It looked fantastic, the Angels appeared so statuesque they could easily have been real. The attention to detail is there even when they turn their heads you could hear stone grating.

It has to be one of the scariest stories yet. It also set up possible future events. Will River Song kill the Doctor? What has happend to Amy? What will be the future significance of the crack in the wall? It was just great and I hope River Song does come back in the future, I love her character. Loved it.

John Howe: Another great episode! Quite often the 2nd part of a two parter doesn't always live up to the promise of the1st, however Flesh and Stone was a satisfying and fitting end to the story of the return of the Weeping Angels. The fact that the Angels took second billing behind the crack in time as the threat of the week was a masterly curve ball thrown by show runner and head writer Steven Moffatt. The Angels demise at the hands of the time energy that they had come to feast on was a great anchoring touch for the series' linking
theme of the opening of Pandorica.

There were some lovely moments too. The scene shared between the Doctor and Father Octavian, who both characters know is going to die, was beautifully played by the two actors and provided real contrast to the fast paced nature of the episode as a whole. I loved the Doctor's refusal of Amy's advances at the end. That's the Doctor of Old that we all know and remember fondly! He's too busy saving the universe for any of that malarky thank you very much!

This series seems to get better with every episode. Keep them coming Mr Moffat!
