'The Tomorrow People' Returns

The original Thames TV series was initially conceived as a rival for Pertwee-era Doctor Who by ITV. In reality it never filled that role, but 'The Tomorrow People' follows Doctor Who in another way this coming week, in getting a modern re-boot. Produced in the US, and based on the 1970s Thames TV series, 'The Tomorrow People' arrives in the UK on E4 next Wednesday 8th January 2014 at 9pm. The programme is aimed at an adult audience this time.

This is in fact the second re-launch for the series, as Nickelodeon had some success with a version of the programme, very much for children, in the 1990s. Additionally, Big Finish produced a successful series of audio adventures featuring both new and original cast members until the rights passed to the producers of the new TV series.
