Hartnell back up on iplayer!

The 16 minutes of William Hartnell's "Desert Island Discs" is now back up online. The BBC have also announced other finds, including the programmes of Louis Armstrong and the Rev. W. Awdry.

William Hartnell "Desert Island Discs" episode found! - updated

Well, at least in part.

The BBC have made rediscovered audio tape of some 16 minutes of William Hartnell's episode of "Desert Island Discs", hosted by the legendary Roy Plomley.

The programme was last broadcast on the BBC Home Service on August 23rd 1965. To listen to this marvellous find just click on the iplayer link.

Last Christmas' UK Consolidated Ratings

The latest figures for Christmas day viewing in the UK show that after delayed viewing is taken into account, 'Last Christmas' added just under 2 million viewers to finish with 8.3 million (against an initial overnight figure of 6.34 million).

'Death in Heaven' Ratings Update

The consolidated ratings for 'Death in Heaven' on BBC1 in the UK last week, show that the programme added a massive 2.25 million viewers. The 'consolidated' result is a final figure of 7.6 million.
