Christopher Eccleston talks about Doctor Who exit

In an article in this weeks Radio Times Christopher Eccleston talks about his reasons for leaving Doctor Who. He explains that he "didn't enjoy the environment and the culture that we, the cast and crew, had to work in" but that he is proud of his time in the programme as it "broke the mould and it helped to reinvent it."

Doctor Who v World Cup

Now tonight Doctor Who is scheduled directly against the England v USA World Cup match, and the football starts first. I'm afraid that the overnight ratings are not going to be good. Nobody is going to want to record the football and watch it later are they?

CDs and DVDs

Both our new signed merchandise offers are now open on the Merchandise pages. These are for the new Dalek Master Plan CDs, the second volume of which is signed by Peter Purves, and for 'The Kamelion Tales' DVD. The latter will be signed by both Isla Blair and Mark Strickson. As Mark works outside the UK right now we will need time to get the covers to him for signature and then returned.

John Howe: Vincent and the Doctor was another superb episode from what is turning out to be a very impressive series of Doctor Who. The story was simple, the best ones always are but it's real power lay in the relationship between the Doctor and Amy, and Tony Curran's magnificent portrayal of Vincent Van Gogh.
